The Planet Whizbang wheel hoe design was created by Herrick Kimball. He sold hundreds of kits to build the wheel hoe before ceasing production to focus on other projects. Working with Herrick, we have resumed production of these kits, making them available along with a set of printed plans for finishing and assembling them.
Wheel Hoe Kit
This kit contains all of the parts you need to build a wheel hoe except for the handles. A handle spreader dowel and a wheel are included. The steel parts are as cut and drilled, so you will need to file the edges and some of the holes smooth, lightly sand away any oxidation or loose mill scale, and spray paint the pieces before assembling it using the included hardware. A physical copy of Herrick’s 24-page plans, along with a hardware identification diagram and a few assembly tips is included. These instructions include a pattern and instructions on how to make handles for your wheel hoe.
